Solar mounting system and tracker manufacturers: 51 brands by country and type (2026)
By The PV Index · Published 3 November 2026 · Last updated 3 November 2026. Counts as of 2026-11-03.
The PV Index lists 51 solar mounting, racking and tracker manufacturers from 11 countries. 23 of them make solar trackers and 28 make fixed mounting systems for roofs, the ground and carports. The United States has the most (14), followed by Germany (11), China (7) and Spain (7). By shipments, Wood Mackenzie ranks Nextpower (formerly Nextracker) as the world's largest tracker supplier for the eleventh year running, with about 30% of the global market in 2025.
Mounting is easy to overlook next to modules and inverters, but the structure decides how a system copes with wind, snow and corrosion for 25 years or more, and on large plants trackers change how much energy each panel produces. This guide groups every mounting and tracker maker in the directory by country and by type, summarises the current tracker market, and ends with a checklist for choosing a supplier. Each name links to its listing page with the official website, location and product focus.
The largest solar tracker manufacturers
Wood Mackenzie reported that global solar tracker shipments grew 19% in 2025 to more than 134 GWdc, up from a record 111 GWdc in 2024. Nextpower shipped nearly 40 GWdc and kept first place for the eleventh straight year. The same five companies have made up the global top five for three years (Wood Mackenzie, June 2026):
| Rank | Tracker supplier | HQ (our listing) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Nextracker | United States |
| 2 | GameChange Solar | United States |
| 3 | Arctech | China |
| 4 | Array Technologies | United States |
| 5 | PV Hardware (PVH) | Spain |
The report also found that tracker demand in the United States rose by more than 25% to over 40 GWdc, with Nextpower, Array Technologies and GameChange together supplying nearly 90% of the US market. Saudi Arabia passed Spain to become the third-largest tracker market, helped by Arctech's projects there, and Africa was the fastest-growing region. Europe reached a record 25 GWdc, where Axial Structural Solutions held the largest share on the back of agrivoltaic trackers in Italy. In 2024 India and Saudi Arabia had already become the second and third largest tracker markets, together using 28 GWdc of trackers, more than all of Europe that year (Wood Mackenzie, June 2025).
Mounting and tracker manufacturers by country
26 of the 51 makers are based in Europe and 14 in North America. Country names link to our country pages, which also list local module makers, installers, events and courses.
The two largest groups look different. 7 of the 14 US makers focus on roof mounting and attachments for homes (EcoFasten, IronRidge, Pegasus Solar, Roof Tech, S-5!, SunModo and Unirac), while the US tracker makers (Array Technologies, FTC Solar, GameChange Solar, Nevados, Nextracker, OMCO Solar and Terrasmart) serve utility-scale plants. Germany's 11 makers include roof and ground-mount specialists and tracker and foundation companies. Trackers are a strength of the United States (7), Spain (6) and China (4); in Europe alone the directory lists 10 tracker makers.
Mounting systems by type
Most brands cover more than one application, so a maker can appear in several rows. The types come from each listing's product tags and description.
| Type | Makers | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Pitched-roof systems | 20 | rails, hooks, clamps and flashings for tiled, shingle and metal roofs on homes and businesses |
| Flat-roof systems | 12 | ballasted or lightly anchored frames, often aerodynamic, for commercial and industrial flat roofs |
| Ground-mount fixed-tilt | 25 | steel or aluminium tables on piles, screws or concrete for solar farms and field systems |
| Single-axis trackers | 24 | rows that turn east to west through the day to follow the sun, used mainly on utility-scale plants |
| Carports | 6 | parking shade structures that carry modules |
| Agrivoltaic structures | 4 | raised or tracking structures that let farming continue under the modules |
| Foundations and ground screws | 4 | screws and piles that replace concrete for ground-mount and tracker posts |
Pitched-roof mounting (20 makers)
Aerocompact, Alumero, Clenergy, EcoFasten, Esdec, IronRidge, K2 Systems, Mounting Systems GmbH, Novotegra, Pegasus Solar, Renusol, Roof Tech, S-5!, Schletter Group, SL Rack, Solaracks, Sunfer, SunModo, Unirac and Van der Valk Solar Systems. On a sloped roof the main choices are rail-based systems (hooks or attachments on the rafters carry aluminium rails, and modules clamp to the rails) and rail-less systems, where modules fix directly to attachments. Metal roofs can often be mounted without drilling, using clamps on the standing seams. Whatever the system, the roof attachment and its flashing are what keeps water out, so check that the product is approved for your roof covering.
Flat-roof mounting (12 makers)
Aerocompact, Alumero, Esdec, K2 Systems, Novotegra, PMT (Premium Mounting Technologies), Renusol, SL Rack, Solaracks, Sun Ballast, Sunfer and Van der Valk Solar Systems. Flat-roof systems are usually ballasted: concrete blocks or trays hold the frame down so the roof membrane is not pierced. Aerodynamic designs, including low east-west layouts, need less ballast, which matters on roofs with little spare load capacity. Ask the supplier for a project-specific ballast plan; most of these brands offer online planning tools for it.
Ground-mount fixed-tilt structures (25 makers)
Aerocompact, Alumero, Arctech, Axial Structural Solutions, Clenergy, GameChange Solar, Gonvarri Solar Steel, IronRidge, Jurchen Technology, Krinner Schraubfundamente, Mecasolar, Mounting Systems GmbH, OMCO Solar, PiA Solar, PMT (Premium Mounting Technologies), PV Hardware (PVH), Schletter Group, SL Rack, Solaracks, Sunfer, SunModo, Terrasmart, Van der Valk Solar Systems, Versolsolar and Zimmermann PV-Steel Group. Fixed tables are simpler and cheaper to build and maintain than trackers, and they are common on smaller plants, rough terrain and sites at high latitudes.
Solar trackers (23 makers)
Antaisolar, Arctech, Array Technologies, Axial Structural Solutions, Convert Italia (Valmont Solar), FTC Solar, GameChange Solar, Gonvarri Solar Steel, Ideematec, Mecasolar, Nevados, Nextracker, OMCO Solar, Optimum Tracker, PiA Solar, PV Hardware (PVH), Romagnole, Soltec, STI Norland, Terrasmart, TrinaTracker, Versolsolar and Zimmermann PV-Steel Group. Single-axis trackers turn rows of modules from east to west during the day. Designs differ in how many modules sit across each row (one in portrait, "1P", or two, "2P"), how rows are driven (one motor per row or linked rows), how well they follow sloped ground, and how they move to a safe position in high wind. Several makers also sell fixed-tilt structures and their own tracker control software.
Carports (6 makers)
Mounting Systems GmbH, Novotegra, PiA Solar, Schletter Group, Solaracks and Sunfer. Carports put modules over parking spaces, which suits businesses, car parks and EV charging sites without spare roof area.
Agrivoltaic structures (4 makers)
Axial Structural Solutions, Convert Italia (Valmont Solar), Optimum Tracker and Zimmermann PV-Steel Group. These raised or tracking systems leave room for crops or grazing under the modules. For agrivoltaics specialists that develop projects rather than make structures, see the Floating & Agrivoltaics group below.
Foundations and ground screws (4 makers)
Krinner Schraubfundamente, PiA Solar, Solaracks and Terrasmart. Ground screws and driven piles let ground-mount and tracker posts go in without concrete, and they can be removed at the end of a plant's life.
Floating solar and agrivoltaics
The directory lists 14 companies in floating solar and agrivoltaics, a mix of structure suppliers and project developers: Ciel & Terre, Insolight, Isigenere (Isifloating), Mibet Energy, Next2Sun, Noria Energy, NRG Island, Ocean Sun, Oceans of Energy, Ombrea, SolarDuck, Sun'Agri, TSE and Zimmermann PV-Steel Group. Floating systems put modules on reservoirs, quarry lakes and irrigation ponds, using plastic floats or membranes anchored to the shore or bed. These companies are listed in the Floating & Agrivoltaics type and are not counted in the 51 above unless they also make mounting structures.
Groups and ownership to know
- Esdec, IronRidge and EcoFasten belong to the same group, Enstall (earlier known as Esdec Solar Group).
- STI Norland has been part of Array Technologies since 2022.
- Convert Italia (Valmont Solar) is owned by Valmont Industries and sells under the Valmont Solar brand.
- TrinaTracker is the tracker division of module maker Trina Solar.
Group membership matters for warranties and spare parts: when a brand changes hands, ask which company now stands behind the warranty in your country.
How to choose a mounting or tracker supplier
- Start from the site. Roof covering and structure, available load capacity, wind and snow zone, soil conditions and slope decide which systems are even possible.
- Ask for project-specific structural calculations. A good supplier calculates wind and snow loads, ballast or anchors for your site under the local building code, not just a generic datasheet value.
- Check the module fit. Clamping zones and loads must match the module maker's installation manual, or the module warranty may be at risk. Large modern modules need structures rated for their size.
- Look at corrosion protection. Aluminium grade, galvanising thickness on steel and stainless fasteners matter near the sea, on farms and in deserts.
- Compare warranties and the company behind them. Structure warranties are often long, so the supplier's track record and local presence count as much as the term.
- For trackers, look past the price per watt. Compare energy yield in an independent simulation, wind stow strategy, tolerance to slopes, the number of motors and parts to maintain, and local service. Our solar design software guide lists tools that model trackers.
