Solar EPC companies by country: 125 contractors in 49 countries (2026)

By The PV Index · Published 30 October 2026 · Last updated 30 October 2026. Counts as of 2026-11-02.

The PV Index lists 125 solar EPC contractors in 49 countries. The United States has the most (12), followed by India (9), Egypt (8) and Jordan (6). By region: Middle East & Africa (52), Asia (32), Europe (17), North America (14), Latin America (8) and Oceania (2). 42 of them build utility-scale plants, 54 work on commercial and industrial sites, 29 also build battery storage and 23 offer operation and maintenance.

EPC stands for engineering, procurement and construction: one contractor designs the plant, buys the panels, inverters, mounting and cables, builds it and hands it over working, usually for a fixed price and date. This guide lists every EPC contractor in the directory by region and country, then by segment, and ends with a checklist for choosing one. Each name links to its listing page with the official website and location.

Utility-scale EPCs work for developers and utilities on plants of many megawatts, often with single-axis trackers and a substation. Several of them are part of large engineering or energy groups.

Commercial and industrial EPCs (54)

Al Shirawi Solar, Almoayyed Solar, Alsa Solar Systems, ASACO General Trade & Contracting, ATW Solar, Bahwan Engineering, CS Energy, EcoSol (Eco Engineering and Energy Solutions), Energco Iraq, Enertiva, Erco Energía, ETA-max Energy & Environmental Solutions, EvoEnergy, FAS Energy, Flux Solar (Copec), Galt Energy, Greening, Greening Group, Hayleys Solar, Jakson Group, Kawar Energy, KESK Green Energy, Kuby Renewable Energy, Lightforce Solar, Millennium Energy Industries, MVC Solar, Nafath Renewable Energy, Pekat Group, Pfalzsolar, Power Trust Uganda, Powergreen, Questworks, Reon Energy, Smart Commercial Solar, Solar Installer Co., SolarBK, Solarcentury Africa, Solareff, Solaric, Solarvest, Solkompaniet, Sun Capture, Sunergy for Renewable Energy Solutions, Taqa PV (Taqa Arabia), The Solar Company (TSC), Top Energy México, Translight Solar, VCT Group, Waaree Renewable Technologies, Wamest Solar, Wevmade Solar, WIRSOL Roof Solutions, Yelloblue and Zenith Technology. C&I contractors build rooftop, carport and on-site plants that cut a business's electricity bill, and often also offer financing or power purchase agreements.

Solar plus storage (29)

Anesco, ASACO General Trade & Contracting, ATW Solar, Bechtel, China Energy Engineering (Energy China), CS Energy, DEPCOM Power, ECOsys, Energco Iraq, EvoEnergy, Flux Solar (Copec), GOLDBECK SOLAR, Jakson Group, McCarthy Building Companies, Metlen Energy & Metals, Mortenson, Moss, Mustakbal Clean Tech, MVC Solar, Oriana Power, Reon Energy, Rosendin, Signal Energy, Simtel, Smart Commercial Solar, Solarpro, Tritec-Intervento, Volks Energie and WIRSOL Roof Solutions. Adding batteries changes the design, the grid studies and the fire-safety work, so ask for storage references specifically. Our battery storage manufacturers guide lists the hardware makers.

EPCs that also run the plant (O&M) (23)

AL-DHAW, Anesco, Comal, DEPCOM Power, Enviromena, GILA Al Tawakol Electric, Greening, Infinity Solar, Jet Energy, MASE (Modern Arabia for Solar Energy), Mustakbal Clean Tech, Pfalzsolar, Rays Power Infra, Shinsung E&G, Solar Installer Co., SolarBK, SolarShams, SOLV Energy, Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy, Sunergy for Renewable Energy Solutions, TBEA SunOasis, The Solar Company (TSC) and Ventus. EPC contractor, installer or developer?

The directory separates three kinds of project company. EPC contractors (125 listed here) build plants for someone else under a turnkey contract. Installers (131 in the directory) mostly fit residential and small commercial systems. Developers and IPPs (270) find sites, secure permits and finance, and own the plants, hiring an EPC to build them. Many companies do more than one of these, so check the listing description. All three are in the Developers & EPC category.

How to choose a solar EPC contractor

  1. Check the local licence or qualification. Many countries require EPCs and installers to be licensed, qualified or registered with the regulator or the utility before a plant can be connected. Ask for the certificate and check that it covers your project size.
  2. Ask for references of the same size and type. A contractor with many rooftops is not automatically right for a 50 MW ground plant, and the reverse is also true. Visit or call at least two finished projects.
  3. Compare offers on expected energy, not only price. Ask each bidder for the annual yield estimate, the software used and its assumptions, and the named panel, inverter and mounting brands.
  4. Read the guarantees. Separate the workmanship warranty from the equipment warranties, and ask whether the EPC guarantees performance after handover and what happens if the plant falls short.
  5. Clarify grid connection. Agree who prepares and submits the connection application, who pays the utility's fees, and whether the contract price depends on approval.
  6. Check the company behind the contract. Financial strength, insurance and a local service team matter for a plant that should run for 25 years or more.
