About The PV Index
The PV Index is a free, independent directory of the global solar photovoltaic industry: 1,497 listings of manufacturers, equipment and balance-of-system suppliers, storage and O&M companies, developers and EPC contractors, software, events, courses, careers, media and organisations.
Methodology
- Sources. Listings are compiled from each organisation's own official website and public materials (company pages, event pages, course pages), and from industry associations and trade media.
- What gets in. Organisations and resources that are active in solar PV and have a working official website (career profiles are role guides and have no website).
- Classification. Each listing has a category, a type, and where known a country, region and city. Regions are normalised (e.g. Middle East and Africa are grouped).
- Events. Dates are taken from organiser websites. Editions whose dates have passed are labelled “Past edition” until the next edition is confirmed.
- Updates. Listings are reviewed periodically; changes are recorded in the changelog. Anyone can suggest a correction or submit a listing.
- No paid ranking. Order and inclusion are not for sale. If sponsored or featured placements are added later they will be clearly labelled.
